Responsible for management of employment compliance, employee relations and security teams, to include assisting Legal with the handling of legal claims, mediations and arbitrations, and compliance with federal and state regulations within the organization. This role collaborates with HR Business Partners and Centers of Expertise across CCSWB. The role is responsible for ensuring consistent communication to Employee Relations Business Partners and Security Managers and will be responsible for their development and performance management.. Establish compliance labor and employment strategy for the CCSWB with a focus on Wage & Hour statutes to ensure on-going and proactive compliance of all facilities and employment practices, including managing the OFCCP plans.. Assist Corporate Legal and outside counsel on all legal claims for CCSWB to include discovery and investigations, mediation and trial preparation, coordination of work and meetings with all pertinent parties, communication of issues and assist Legal with settlements.. Establish audit procedures for CCSWB to assess areas of noncompliance or potential liability for the business. Ensure consistent audits are performed and appropriate actions and remedies are implemented in a timely manner.. Develop agency responses for legal review and submission on a timely basis.. Develop and help facilitation of effective training for employees and managers on effective employment and compliance practices.. Liaise with HR Business Partner leaders to develop and apply consistent employee relations approach.. Ensures collaboration and maintains excellent working relationships with leaders across CCSWB. Partner with Centers of Expertise to deliver business required programs.. Provide people management coaching to managers and contribute to the development of managers skills.. Support HR Services delivery of people-related matters. Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures via employee relations and security teams. Develops and oversees a system for uniform handling of such violations.. Provide consultative support, advice and solutions on all people related subjects, in conjunction with COE and Employee Services. Manage employee relations activities through effective management and communication. Manages security team activities through effective management and communication. Identifies potential areas of vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.. Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the business informed of problematic/ high risk locations or work groups.. Ensures proper reporting of violations or potential violations to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate and/or required.. QUALIFICATIONS. Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years progressively responsible management experience in a large company environment, including management of teams and responsibility for employment compliance.. 5+ years of related employee relations experience including conflict resolution, performance management, employee coaching and investigations.. Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication as well as listening skills.. Must work well, both independently and with a team.. Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment..
