The Acquisition Account Manager will be responsible for new partner integration projects and existing program management and administration of Heartland Business Development Payroll Partner initiatives. The projects will vary in size and scope for partner channel integrations and industry verticals. Projects will require technical knowledge, flexibility and in some instances, tailored project management solutions. Your primary focus will be on Partner Channels (e.g., Accounting, Benefit Brokers, P&C Agents, Financial Services, Banks, and POS Dealers) and Vertical Industry Segments (e.g., Restaurants, Hospitality, Retail, Medicine and Automotive). Monitor and evaluate overall integration project progress and identify gaps and potential risks before they impact the project schedule or the final deliverable product.

What are the requirements?

Position requires 3-5 years of payroll/HR sales and/or sales management experience, payroll technical knowledge, experience in referral partner engagement and negotiations.

Primary focus to grow partner channels (e.g., Accounting, Benefit Brokers, P&C Agents, Financial Services, Banks, and POS Dealers) and Vertical Industry Segments (e.g., Restaurants, Hospitality, Retail, Medicine and Automotive).

Duties include management of partner programs including client portfolio acquisitions, integration projects, existing partner program management and administration of Heartland Business Development payroll partner initiatives.

What will you be doing?

This role requires engagement of both internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to partner contacts, internal Heartland Solutions subject matter experts and department managers.

Work with cross-functional, cross-business project leadership teams to ensure completion of partner related projects. Negotiate with stakeholders and sponsors to set expectations and build consensus around project objectives.

Develop and present project communications to influence key internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Product Development, IT, Operations, Sales Strategy, Partners, Clients and Vendors), while serving as the liaison to and partner with the project/program sponsor.

Establish project/program expectations and implementation plans, monitoring success against business objectives, and recommending adjustments to approach in response to changing business needs.

Develop proposals in response to RFPs and establish business case for projects/programs, including identifying, securing and coordinating resources and building leadership consensus around objectives.

Additional Duties

Interface and manage project resources located in various offices around the nation, in multiple time zones; follow up with project stakeholders and Partners on delivery of programs and projects.

Required travel to attend Heartland Business Development Meetings, Company Diamond Conferences and Partner Conventions

Attendance to work booth/floor to represent Heartland Payroll/HR at Card Payments, POS Dealers and other Heartland and Global Product Divisions Events.
