Prestigious, independent local paint store is seeking aTerritorySales Representative to penetrate commercial/industrial accounts.
Position consists of making both cold and warm sales calls, setting appointments, presenting products, programs and meeting a sales quota in the Bronx and Queens.
This position will be responsible for growing a paint sales territory that focuses on multiple market segments. In this position, you will secure new commercial accounts while maintaining existing customer accounts.
Outside sales representatives must be able to establish and maintain good relationships with clients in their designated sales areas; they must offer their clients a great deal of support and gain their trust, as this may lead to potential future sales.
Essential FunctionsDrive sales growth by prospecting and forming new relationships, generate leads, and qualify leads within respective territory to drive additional sales opportunities through cold-calling both in-person and on the phone.Grow paint sales territory that focuses primarily on contractors, property managements and non-traditional end users ( carting companies, industrial facility managers, etc.)Create new coatings and commercial paint sales in different market segmentsTrack activity, prepare and maintain records for sales leads and account statusUtilize business intelligence on prospects to support sales initiatives and drive new businessSell the organization's products or services new prospects within assigned territoryAnalyze territory sales performance reports and develop strategic territory business plans to support growthMonitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and salesWork with in-store staff and management to develop sales strategiesBuild relationships and identify the prospect's need for the products or servicesMaintain good relationships with accounts in designated sales areasOffer clients support and gain their trust, to build pipeline for future salesMust possess excellent social skills and ability to close salesResilient with the ability to attain sales goals on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis

Must be able to handle confidential information with complete confidence of managementStrong interpersonal skills needed when interacting with external and internal personnel.5+ years outside sales experiencePaint and Coatings experience a plusCollege degree preferred but not necessaryBilingual/Spanish a plus
Valid and clean driver s license is necessary
