The Human Resources Director will operate as a strategic and solutions-oriented business partner across the organization with responsibility for the overall administration, close coordination between branches and with executive management, headquartered in North Carolina, and evaluation of the human resources function for all company's branches in the US.. When you come to work, you'll be:. Reviewing and making actionable recommendations, to executive management for improvement of the company's policies, procedures and practices, and risk management, related to all personnel matters.. Maintaining knowledge of industry standards and ensuring the company's compliance in the field of human resources.. Maintaining responsibility for company compliance with federal, state, and the relevant local jurisdictions' legislative requirements and changes pertaining to all personnel matters.. Preparing and communicating changes in company personnel policies and procedures and ensuring proper compliance (at a city, state and federal level) while still meeting business needs.. Ensuring that the Employee Handbook, employment policies, and all employee notices are up to date. Assisting executive management in the annual review, preparation, and administration of company wage/salary, and benefits programs to ensure the company's competitiveness in the local labor markets.. Coordinating and reviewing annually new hire onboarding processes across the company's branches in the US.. Creating a structured HR department and supervising the staff of the human resource department.. Consulting with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the COO or CEO, on personnel matters.. There are some MUST HAVES:. Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or organizational behavior or related field.. Ten+ years Human Resource Generalist experience with increasing responsibility across multi-locations. Five+ years of HR Leadership experience with responsibility for direct reports and clients in multiple locations.. Extensive working knowledge of, primarily, NC, but also CA rules, state and federal employment and benefits-related law including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII, COBRA, Affordable Care Act, HIPPA, and ERISA.. Knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), preferably in human capital modules, analytics, and reporting.
