Under limited supervision, uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through experience and training to act as a strategic partner to business leaders providing professional HR guidance and support to relevant internal client groups with the objective of adding value to the business. Consults and coaches leaders on organization design and effectiveness, commercial needs, change management, organization capability development in conjunction HR Centers of Expertise. Understands the operations of the business and translates those needs into specific, measurable HR actions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides HR leadership and influence with exceptional commercial knowledge, mindset, and approach. Develops and fosters deep relationships with assigned leadership senior teams. Partners with business leaders to ensure execution and prioritization of HR strategies, initiatives, goals, and business plans. Contributes to the business strategy by helping business leaders identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes. Provides proactive and strategic guidance and support for organizational planning and development initiatives that align the human resources agenda in support of key business strategies and initiatives in client groups. Ensures that client group strategic human capital goals and initiatives align as appropriate across the broader organization. Coaches and mentors more junior team members; identifies training needs; and contributes to development plans. In conjunction with HREC team members, consult with business leaders on how to manage changes and business transitions including planning, organizational design and development, process improvement, and critical paths. Maintains the highest level of professionalism in business image, processes, and mindset. Maintains knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trends. Identifies new opportunities where HR can add value to the business. Identifies and drives the communication and sharing of best practices across functions to facilitate continuous improvement. Maintains current and extensive professional level knowledge of legal requirements and state and federal regulations that impact human resources functions. Develops and promotes feedback mechanisms for associates to influence the continuous improvement of HR services and processes. Reviews and benchmarks the internal and external environment to improve the HR policies and initiatives. Manages specific projects in functional and cross-functional initiatives Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of: Critical human resource competencies including but not limited to staffing, organizational development, talent management, compensation, benefits administrations, employee relations and HR legal issues. Companys working structure, competitive strengths, industry dynamics, profit levers, customers, and competitors. Principles, practices, and procedures of human resources administration. Legal requirements and federal and state regulations related to human resources management. Financial and Brokerage Firm Industry knowledge. Familiarity with compliance and regulations. Needs assessment processes and delivering client training and development programs. Facilitation and presentation methods and techniques. Microsoft Office Suite and PeopleSoft. Skill in: Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Communication and influencing, negotiation, and conflict resolution. Relationship building, influencing, effective communication at all organizational levels, project management, change management, problem solving. Critical thinking to develop and support business solutions recommendations Creating and maintaining relationships with all levels of HR associates to ensure that agreed levels of effective service are delivered. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with internal associates and external contacts at all levels. Organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. Balance conflicting resource and priority demands. Keep all appropriate parties up-to-date on decisions, changes, and other relevant information and articulate reasons behind decisions. Educational/Previous Experience Requirements: Bachelors Degree and 7-10 years client consulting human resource experience with five (5) years of experience in a senior level HR role. MBA or graduate degree preferred.
