This position reports directly to the VP of Field Human Resources.The position's key focus is to assist the Region in achieving business objectives by providing proactive planning, day to day solutions and accurate and timely information to the regional Sales, Operations and Customer Care partners and associates. As a valued member of the Regional team, the Field Specialist must be a model for excellence in human resources, emphasizing strategic and progressive HR practices, associate growth and enrichment through collaborative teamwork, while supporting the organization to meet its goals.Responsibilities:Appropriately investigate and resolve associate relations matters in an expeditious manner while maintaining confidentiality at all times.Under limited supervision, and with consult of the VP of HR, provide advice and counsel to leaders and associates regarding policies, procedures, benefits, recruiting, training, HR programs and associate relations.Provide support for recruiting and employment needs for all locations in the assigned region.Support Benefits, Payroll, Risk Management and Best Practice teams by implementing special projects and programs as needed.Daily travel to and between locations within region required to effectively support the Business.Facilitate new hire orientation and training on a variety of human resources subject matters.Coordinate associate recognition program.Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management.Qualifications:Minimum of three years experience in a Generalist Human Resource positionBachelor's degree in Human Resources or related fieldStrong federal and state employment law knowledgeStrong associate relations and union avoidance backgroundOutstanding interpersonal skills, with a coaching and consultative approach to problem solvingHigh performance professional and independent self-starter with excellent organizational and prioritizing skills with the initiative to seek challenges and strive for continuous improvementA passion for excellence and the ability to build influence with management teams and associates at all levels of the organizationThe ability to excel in a fast paced, progressive environmentFlexibility with work schedule and ability to travel based on business needsExcellent computer proficiency along with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:PHR CertificationBilingual SpanishTraining and facilitation backgroundPrior experience in a retail environmentAt Raymour & Flanigan, we recognize and appreciate all of our team members' hard work and dedication.
