Principal Accountabilities--- Regular payroll and benefit processing and reporting for all Red Collar associates. Requires the ability to independently run bi-weekly payroll in an accurate and timely manner. --- Partner with HR and site leadership to continue to drive payroll process improvements and compliance. --- Monitor vacation and holiday balances and ensure that they are accurately reflected in the general ledger. --- Advise line managers and associates on proper ways to fill out timecards for associates, as well as conduct historical edits for improperly approved timecards. --- Lead contact with external payroll processing company - Paylocity--- Support Finance with payroll related information for bonus calculations, to ensure accurate accruals and payouts. --- Year-end review and coordination of audit for 401k testing review.--- Weekly, period, quarterly and annual payroll reporting requirements.--- Support certain non-standard processes like California payroll administration and the ever changing shift patterns in our manufacturing locations--- Support associates in all payroll related matters. Become the functional expert for all payroll and pay issues. --- Administer shadow payroll for the Canada associates by partnering with BlueMarble--- Lead responsible for all tax related reporting, planning, compliance, and forecasting.--- Keep manager informed of issues that may have a material impact and provide a recommended course of action.--- Create and maintain a standard SOP around payroll responsibilities, deadlines and contacts to facilitate back up--- Special projects or requests as needed within payroll or finance areas--- Contribute to and support an effective, highly competent and engaged Finance teamKey Functional Skills/Knowledge--- Extreme attention to detail--- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks --- MS Office Software, Excel --- Thorough understanding of payroll work processes.
