TRC's global client in the Smyrna area is looking for a payroll analyst to join their growing team immediately. This is a contract to hire opportunity for a fantastic company with a great culture. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: ? High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Associates Degree in a business-related field ? 3-5 years? experience in processing payroll, or any similar combination of education and experience. ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION: Responsible for all aspects of hourly payroll and centralized salary payroll functions. Duties include coordination of salary payroll input; scheduling of salary payroll input; scheduling of salary payroll processing; verification of time input; audit of employee database updates; generation and distribution of hourly payroll reports. The position requires a high degree of accuracy and timeliness. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Coordinate salary payroll - both weekly and biweekly. ? Process, transmit, receive and update ADP files ? Audit database changes ? Input general deductions ? Input tax information (W2 and W4) ? Prepare, record and distribute manual checks ? Complete employment verifications ? Distribute hourly payroll reports ? Reconcile account balances ? Review, audit and request funds for 401(k) distribution ? Business Process Internal Controls: Identification of internal control risks and internal control activities in mitigation of that risk. Remediation actions whereupon internal control weaknesses are identified. Maintenance of Sarbanes-Oxley business process narratives relative to current business practices. Compliance to all Superior Essex policies and procedures. *ADP Payroll Software experience is required - Vantage, Enterprise, or Workforce Now* SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: ? Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse business community. Must be a team-focused individual as exhibited in actions and approach to engaging multiple groups (internal and external) interacting with this position. ? Must be flexible in a dynamic environment to change practices or procedures in order to deliver optimum performance. Highest level of accountability is required to determine impact / value of online training modules and continuing education. ? Ability to design, develop, implement, and evaluate training plans, curricula, and methodology. Comprehensive understanding and practical application of instructional design methodologies and project management skills required. ? Processes organizing and coordinating skills. Strong attention to detail, sound business judgment and strong planning and organization skills required. ? Advanced oral presentation and written communication skills. COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS: ? Must have an in-depth understanding of various computer programs including but not limited to: Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
