Sr. Manager responsible for executing learning innovation through new technology applications for the Global Learning & Development organization, which includes evaluating, acquiring, producing and implementing emerging technologies and overall project oversight of highly complex technology solutions for Verizon.
Leads staff with the responsibility of evaluating, trialing, implementing and driving the adoption of new technologies for our learning organization. The team is required to assess internal needs and trends in learning, vet suppliers and/or build or enhance applications to help advance new technologies which drive the attainment of our KPIs. The ideal candidate will have experience in user centered design and user experience principles as well as demonstrated ability in rapid deployment of technology projects.
Executes the vision, strategy, and directs the implementation of large-scale technology solutions for the learning organization, which includes a suite of learning applications and off-the-shelf technology solutions used across our global enterprise.
Leads the team in gathering and translating requirements of large-scale initiatives and makes recommendations to senior leaders and business stakeholders, with minimal to no direction from Associate Director.
Oversees the creation of product requirements documents and create visual wireframes as needed for large-scale, highly complex learning technology solutions.
Ensures new technology implementations and enhancements integrate with the overall continuous learning ecosystem and reflect user centered UI/UX principles.
Creates technology application roadmaps and conducts executive reviews to validate alignment with business unit and departmental goals; possesses a wide-range of latitude and requires minimal to no direction from leadership.
Cultivates and manages relationships with senior leaders of business units, learning leadership and Information Technology including Directors to advance directional initiatives and projects ensuring their team remains on-plan and on-time with learning technology solutions.
Proactively researches, identifies and recommends emerging learning technologies and trends that align to business goals.
Manages the analysis of learning technology effectiveness and efficiency as well as business impact and ROI; use data/analysis to drive the learning organization and business performance improvements.

What you'll need to have...
Bachelors in business or marketing, or equivalent
3-5 years learning technological development experience
3-5 years learning development experience
2-3 years user-centered design experience including UI design, rapid prototyping, user research, and design thinking
Experience managing workflow and evaluating work product of software developers
Even better if you have...
Masters in corporate education, marketing or ecommerce a plus
Principles of project management, time management and problem solving
Knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
Experience with software for managing technology projects with IT such as JIRA and Confluence
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience working through application requirement, design, development, QA & UAT testing, implementing, and delivering in release cycles, and to end users.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of technical skills such as interactive authoring applications, programming languages, and graphics software applications
Possess a comprehensive understanding of network integration and configurations
Ability to direct multiple projects to superior quality delivery
Ability to model key leadership traits and skills
Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Location can be based out of any Verizon corporate office.
