The primary responsibility of this role is to act as the point of contact and partner for VF Corporate Function leaders and their teams (such areas as Global Treasury, Global Tax, Corporate Accounting, Global Logistics, Global Indirect Procurement) located in Greensboro and Appleton, Wisconsin. Approximately 1,000 people plus contractors (300+). Helping manager and liaise to other disciplines within HR for all HR-related needs at the sites. Through this relationship, the HR Partner, is responsible for determining approaches and strategies that are focused on helping each partner's function succeed as well as the employee engagement and support at the two enterprise centers.. Major Accountabilities/Essential Duties:. Acting as a true business partner. Using economic, financial, market, and industry data to understand and support the improvement of business results; using one's understanding of major business functions, industry trends, and own organization's position to contribute to effective business strategies and tactics. Leverages expertise in HR, and liaises with others in the HR function, to deliver and execute HR strategies.. Communication: Clearly conveying information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message. Is recognized as a facilitator and connector for communication.. Conflict Management and Problem Solving: Ability to assess situations objectively in the best interests of the organization and the associates and adapt appropriately (issue, audience, readiness). Coaching and Developing Others: Providing feedback, instruction, and development guidance to help others excel in their current or future job responsibilities; planning and supporting the development of individual skills and abilities.. Drives Execution: Setting challenging yet achievable goals for personal and group accomplishment in alignment with the Business goals; using measurement methods to monitor progress toward goals and to share the results to the business leaders; tenaciously working to meet or exceed goals while deriving satisfaction from that achievement.. Establishes Strategic Direction: Establishing and committing to a long-term business direction based on an analysis of systemic information and consideration of resources, market drivers, and organizational values.. Leads Change: Identifying & driving organizational and cultural changes needed to adapt strategically to changing market demands, technology, and internal initiatives; catalyzing new approaches to improve results by transforming organizational culture, systems, or products/services.. Influence: Creating and executing influence strategies that persuade key stakeholders to take action that will advance shared interests and business goals.. Minimum Requirements:. Years of Related Professional Experience: 10 + years of experience in HR function; prefer 4 years in HR leadership. Bachelor's Degree required, advanced degree and/or certification a plus (PHR, SPHR).. Understand US Policies and Procedures. Experience in general human resources management, ideal background will include understanding and/or experience in management, talent development, talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and applicable federal and state regulations. Experience in corporate environment, ideally with corporate functions (digital, finance, legal, etc) desired. Key Skills:. Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written. Attention to detail, as well as the ability to work in a team environment. Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, execute and follow-up in a timely manner. Sound judgment, business acumen, influencing skills, and the experience, confidence and stature to effectively address sensitive HR issues. Ability to deliver group presentations to all levels of associates in the company. Ability to network and influence people at all levels. Strong listening skills. Strong team building skills and the ability to connect people to solutions/others. Strong insight into business needs and ability to resolve complex problems.
